Who can Apply?
Registered members of the Boy Scouts of
America and members of the Eagle Scout Association
Scholarships Available:
Life Scholarship: $1,000.00 for Lifetime members in the
Association
Member Scholarship: two each $500.00 for BSA & ESA members

Please submit your application by March 15, 2011
All applicants must:
- Be an Eagle Scout and have received credentials from the national
office.
- Be at least eighteen years of age.
- Be a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
- Be a member or life member of the Eagle Scout Association. A completed
ESA application may be included with scholarship application.
- Provide a transcript of high school or college grades covering a minimum
of six most recent semesters. The transcript need not be "official"; may be
a legible photocopy.
- Have demonstrated leadership ability in Scouting and a strong record of
participation in activities outside of Scouting.
- Provide one signed recommendation letter from a volunteer or
professional Scout leader who knows the applicant personally, and list
Scouting title on the letter. This is the only endorsement required.
Endorsements from teachers, counselors, etc. will not be accepted.

Please note:
Applications become the property of the ESA and will not be returned. The
selection committee will, in writing, notify those selected of its decision.
There is no appeal, and the decision of the selection committee is final. All
applications must be printed or typed. The list of Scouts selected will be
listed on the ESA website; no written notification will be sent to applicants
except those selected.
